This beautiful Scottish yarn is a two-pied spun yarn comprising a blend of Shetland , Cheviot and Wensleydale wools. The natural darker shades of the Shetland fleece lend a depth to the blend when dyed, making a rich heathered knit with the lighter-fleeced Wensleydale.
Bred on the hills near Biggar, the sheep give a lovely bouncy yarn, worsted spun, with the longer staple of the Wensleydale making a smooth and subtly silky yarn. Very very lovely.
Cocoa skeins - 500m Shetland fleece per 100g
Other skeins - approx 600m Shetland, Cheviot and/or Wensleydale per 100g
